In an example that the modern Democrat party is anything but Democratic, Harry Reid has threatened to abuse Senate procedures in an effort to ram healthcare down the throats of the American people – against their wishes.

“Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid threatened on Tuesday to use a procedural maneuver to steamroll opponents of health care reform, even as a Senate panel began delicate negotiations over a package that could have the best chance at passing. “

It’s important to note that “opponents of health care reform” really means opponents of government run health care, which is over 60% of the American public in recent polls. Most Americans can agree that the systems has many flaws and much can be done to improve it, unfortunately the democrat party simply wants to grow government and its own power base instead.

“Reid threatened to use a budgetary tool called reconciliation — also known as the “nuclear option” — that would allow Democrats to pass key parts of the legislation with a simple majority, as opposed to the 60 votes needed to avoid a Republican filibuster. “

It should be clear at this point that Democrats do not have the interests of their constituents in mind, but rather their own power and control over their constituents.

It’s all so predictably shameful.
